Bennett University Nearest Metro Station: Depot vs Pari Chowk (2026)

I’m Uttkarsh Thakur, a 4th-year B.Tech CSE student at Bennett University, and I live in the on-campus hostel. If you’re a fresher or a parent visiting, the first thing to sort out is which metro station to get off at. Many of the pages that come up for this are conference travel notes from 2017-18, written before the Aqua Line opened, that still send you via Botanical Garden and a bus. This guide is what I and other Bennett students actually do, checked on 26 September 2026. More about me and how I check things.

Bennett is in Tech Zone II, Greater Noida (not Greater Noida West). It isn’t inside Knowledge Park, but the Aqua Line stations around Knowledge Park are how most of us reach it.

Bennett University nearest metro station: the stations compared

Four Aqua Line stations near campus are within a few kilometres of each other. I measured them from the Bennett campus on OpenStreetMap, with road distances from OSRM car routing. Road distance depends on which way you drive because of one-way roads and turn restrictions, so the table shows both directions. By every measure, Depot is the closest.

The Greater Noida Depot metro station to Bennett University distance is about 9 km by road coming from the station, roughly 2 km shorter than from Pari Chowk. Going back to the station the gap shrinks to under a kilometre.

If you’ve seen Delta 1 named as the nearest station, that comes from Bennett’s own website: a 2026 conference page says “The nearest metro station is Delta 1”, and an older campus-visit page says the campus is “near the Delta 1 Metro Station”. On OpenStreetMap, Delta 1 is third-closest in a straight line and farther by road than Depot or GNIDA Office.

Why students use Pari Chowk

On a map, Depot is the obvious answer. In practice, the students I know at Bennett use Pari Chowk, and so do I, for two reasons.

• Rides are easier to find. In my experience, autos and app cabs are easiest to get at Pari Chowk, so you don’t stand around waiting.
• It’s the better-connected hub. Of these stations, Pari Chowk is the one with the most going on around it.

I’m not saying you can’t get an auto at Depot or GNIDA Office; I just haven’t relied on them. A kilometre or two extra is worth it when you know you’ll get a ride.

Pari Chowk to Bennett University: auto vs Uber or Rapido

The Pari Chowk to Bennett University distance is about 11 km by road, and an auto takes 20-25 minutes. These are the fares I and the students I know usually pay.

I recommend Uber or Rapido because you see the price before you book. That matters when you’re new and don’t know the going rate, or when you’re arriving with heavy bags and don’t want to argue.

Tips for the auto ride

• Agree the fare first. Tell the driver you’re going to Bennett University and settle the price before you sit in, not at the gate.
• Don’t pay more than ₹200. The usual range is ₹150-200. If a driver asks for more on a normal day, try the next auto or book Uber or Rapido.
• Expect higher prices around holidays. Just before and during holidays, demand goes up and so do auto prices. This is when an upfront app price helps most.
• Autos run late. In my experience autos are available till late at night, so you can still get the last leg done if your train gets in late.
• Don’t count on a college bus from these stations. Bennett’s buses don’t stop at Pari Chowk, Depot or the other stations near campus (see below).

Does Bennett run a bus or shuttle to the metro?

Not in the way most people mean. Bennett runs air-conditioned buses on fixed routes, but they’re a paid, semester-pass service for day scholars. Its 2026 route list has 21 routes that pick students up at stations such as Sector 51, 50, 76, NSEZ, 137, 143 and 148 on the Aqua Line, Botanical Garden, and many Delhi Metro stations, and bring them to campus. None of them stops at Pari Chowk, Knowledge Park II, Alpha 1, Delta 1, GNIDA Office or Depot.

One of Bennett’s web pages also says weekend shuttles are arranged “to nearby shopping areas, malls, and the closest metro station”, but it doesn’t say which station, when, or how to book. As a hosteller I haven’t had a regular metro shuttle to use, so plan on an auto or cab, and ask the transport office (helpline +91 93199 93116, listed on Bennett’s transport page) whether a weekend shuttle is running this semester.

Bennett University metro route from Delhi

Here’s how to reach Bennett University by metro from Delhi. There is one change of line.

1. Take the Delhi Metro Blue Line towards Noida Electronic City. It passes through Rajiv Chowk and Botanical Garden on the way. Check the train says Noida Electronic City, not Vaishali: the Blue Line splits at Yamuna Bank.
2. Get off at Noida Sector 52.
3. Take the skywalk across to Noida Sector 51, the first station of the Aqua Line.
4. Take the Aqua Line towards Depot and get off at Pari Chowk. It’s 16 stations after Sector 51, straight after Knowledge Park II.
5. Take an auto, Uber or Rapido for the last 11 km to Bennett.

Changing at Sector 52 and Sector 51

Noida Sector 52 (Blue Line, run by Delhi Metro, DMRC) and Noida Sector 51 (Aqua Line, run by Noida Metro, NMRC) are two separate stations. Since 28 August 2026 they have been linked by an air-conditioned skywalk with travelators, opened on a trial basis by the Noida Authority. News reports put its length at 400-460 metres.

Each operator has its own ticket gates, so you leave one system and enter the other, paying each fare separately. Two ways to avoid queuing for a ticket at Sector 51:

• An NCMC (“One Nation One Card”) RuPay card. News reports quoting NMRC say the Aqua Line has accepted NCMC cards since 15 August 2026, and Delhi Metro accepts them too.
• QR tickets for both legs in one app. Since September 2025, NMRC’s app and DMRC’s Delhi Metro Sarthi app each sell the other’s QR tickets. You get two separate QR codes, one for each network.

The regular blue Delhi Metro smart card isn’t confirmed to work on the Aqua Line yet, so if that’s all you have, buy an Aqua Line ticket at Sector 51. These arrangements are changing quickly, so check nmrcnoida.com or ask station staff before you rely on them.

Aqua Line fare and timings

Aqua Line fares go by the number of stations you travel. By NMRC’s fare table, Sector 51 to Pari Chowk (16 stations) costs ₹40 from Monday to Saturday and ₹30 on Sundays and national holidays. An NMRC smart card takes 10% off each journey. Going by NMRC’s timetable and route planners, the ride from Sector 51 to Pari Chowk takes roughly 30-40 minutes; I’ll replace this with my own timed ride.

Trains start at 6:00 am from Monday to Saturday, but not until 8:00 am on Sundays, so plan Sunday-morning arrivals around that. If you’re arriving in the evening, NMRC’s train timings page lists the last train from Sector 51 towards Depot at around 10:00 pm, so check it on the day before you set off.

Coming from Delhi airport or a railway station

Your aim is to get onto the Blue Line towards Noida Electronic City, then follow the route above. The Blue Line connects with the Yellow Line at Rajiv Chowk and with the Magenta Line at Botanical Garden. I haven’t timed these journeys myself yet, so check your full route in the Delhi Metro journey planner before you travel.

What’s changed since older guides

Many pages that still rank for this question were written in 2017-18, before the Aqua Line opened. They tell you to take the metro to Botanical Garden and then a bus into Greater Noida, and one old Q&A answer still talks about a “proposed” metro station. You can ignore that advice.

The Aqua Line opened in January 2019; it was inaugurated on 25 January 2019. It runs from Noida Sector 51 to Depot, with stops at Knowledge Park II and Pari Chowk on the way. A newer change is the Sector 51-52 skywalk, open since 28 August 2026, which makes the interchange from the Blue Line easier.
